What does Dad really want for Father’s Day? A cold beer, something good to watch on TV, and to be left the hell alone. But that doesn’t help you, his loving and adoring child, when figuring out what to give dad for Father’s Day. So, we rounded up the Saucer staff and even some Beerknurds and asked them for their ideas of what to give the craft beer loving dad.

I set my old man up with a membership to The Gent’s Place. Seeing as he was the first person to explain to me the importance of keeping up with my grooming, it made sense. They do all sorts of stuff, including pedicures, and since he was the one to talk me into getting my first pedicure, it seemed only right to return the favor (doesn’t hurt that they set you up with a cold beer or a stiff cocktail anytime you are in either). “Nothing relaxes your mind and body better than a good massage and a pedicure. Except for a good whiskey…”. Words to live by, Dad. Words to live by.

Mandi Amburn – Addison Flying Saucer Beerknurd
Tickets to Flying Saucer BeerFeäst with the Pops and Uncle (who is a 2nd father — lucky me). It’s been a lasting influence since we all first went! Thanks to the Flying Saucer it has been a gift that keeps giving us tasty memories. Since our first trip they both broadened their palates and are now UFO members, Beer Of the Month clubbers, Untapped users, brewery tour takers, and GABF attendees! My Dad even has almost two plates in Addison! (EDITORIAL NOTE – he lives over 300 miles west of Addison and he has achieved almost two plates.)

Although my dad doesn’t drink anymore, back in the day he would’ve drank with the best of us. These days, a good cigar and stamps or coins is what makes him the happiest. And although he wasn’t drinking at our wedding, he sure had a great time!

Hana Bickley – Fort Worth Flying Saucer Server
My dad loves beer, but his experience is mostly limited to what he can find on the shelf at the grocery store after a long day at work. I know he enjoys hoppier beers, so I’m giving him a couple of six packs of Tarantula Hawk from Wild Acre for Father’s Day. He’s a Fort Worth native, so I know he will appreciate the fact that this tasty IPA is brewed right here in town.

Me and my sibblings are getting my dad a GoPro for Father’s Day because even at 65 he stills enjoys playing tennis and sailing. Maybe he’ll mount it to his favorite beer mug to see the smile on his face after every sip.

This is my dad, John Gray, he’s a car guy, tool guy, fix it guy. I’ve always thought the old school tool box/6-pack holder was pretty cool. Nice with the built in bottle opener too. I can just picture it in the garage while he’s working on his car. Even if your dad isn’t a craft beer lover, it’s a cool Father’s Day gift.

Help dad pamper himself a bit and keep himself squared away. For that, we love some IPA Beard Oil & Beer Soap. We’ve personally used both of these — they rock.
You could also make dad the smartest Beerknurd.
And brewery gear doesn’t have to mean casual t-shirts or trucker hats. Get your dad some upscale brewery gear. We personally think Sierra Nevada, Odell, and Avery have some of the best branded stuff.

If you are on a budget – a great bottle opener or bottle koozie is a fun gift. My favorite opener is dual purpose.
If you’ve saved your money for dear ol’ Dad – then a Yeti cooler is a perfect gift. Jake gave me one a few years ago and they can keep beer cold for days. Plus, they are virtually indestructible. My favorite is the roadie.
