Heads up, Nashville Beerknurds! The 2018 Craft Brewers Conference, the biggest craft beer gathering outside of the Great American Beer Festival, is coming your way April 30th through May 3rd. And Flying Saucer Draught Emporium will be the epicenter of some INCREDIBLE, exclusive events!
Organized each year by the Brewers Association, the Craft Brewers Conference is the most insane gathering of craft beer pros. Throughout the week, brewers from all over the nation (and world) will descend upon Nashville to discuss the current climate of the craft beer industry, trade wisdom, share beers, host private events, and just party. That’s where Nashville Flying Saucer comes in.
Starting Sunday, April 29th Flying Saucer will be hosting a week’s worth of special events, tap takeovers, and VIP gatherings. So, exactly why should Beerknurds be excited? Let us count the ways…

Brewers from all over the country are flooding Nashvegas – and they’re bringing their juice with them. That means we’re pouring beers from breweries that will ONLY BE AVAILABLE IN NASHVILLE FOR THESE HANDFUL OF DAYS.

VIP and brewing legends will be all over the place! Legends like Left Hand Brewing’s co-founder Eric Wallace. Eric will be in house talking Left Hand, drinking beer with you Beerknurds, and pouring some of his hand-picked special brews.

CICERONE® CBC MEET & GREET – MAY 1ST @ 6PM
The Cicerone® Certification Program is turning 10 this year and they’re choosing to celebrate at Flying Saucer during Craft Brewers Conference. Founder Ray Daniels and members of the Cicerone® staff will be on hand and they’re inviting Cicerones® of all levels to come and network. Non-certified beer-lovers are invited to attend as well. You can ask questions about what it takes to become a master of beer and, through osmosis, just might become THAT much smarter. And on top of this awesome event…
MODER TIMES TAP TAKEOVER – MAY 1ST
The Modern Times Beer crew will be pouring several of their dynamite beers — including CBC-only specialties. Again, this is your opportunity to drink beer from other parts of the country that you normally wouldn’t be able to drink! Make plans, call a babysitter, and make sure you have Lyft or Uber at the ready. It’s going to be an awesome night.
GOOD BEER HUNTING PODCAST – MAY 3RD @ 4PM
One of the top beer-focused podcasts in the world, Good Beer Hunting, has chosen to host a very special recording session at Nashville Flying Saucer. For an episode they’re titling “Strong Feelings”, the GBH crew will be gathering at the Saucer for a series of speed dating style interviews which they’ll stitch into one of their excellent podcasts. Everyone is invited to come by, watch the gang in action, and maybe even be asked to participate!
