Written by: Andy Cope

Even though winter is on its way, it doesn’t mean the beer festivals have to stop. It just means you might need to bring a jacket! Don’t let the cold weather slow you down. Here’s our list of seven late fall beer festivals worth checking out.

November 7: Great Beer Expo Long Island

One of the cool things about the Great Beer Expo: It’s held at Belmont Park racetrack, home of the third and final leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown. You can expect a variety of brews with more than 100 beers from 75 breweries available for sampling. Tickets are $45 when purchased online in advance of the event.

November 7: All Colorado Beer Festival

Can guess what this beer festival is about? That’s right, Colorado beers! If you want to taste the best brews Colorado has to offer, the All Colorado Beer Festival is for you. The event boasts 72 breweries and more than 200 beers for tasting. There are two different sessions with tickets ranging from $40 to $65, depending on what type of access you want.

November 12–14: NERAX North

In the span of three days, attendees of the New England Real Ale Exhibition can enjoy 50 firkins of genuine ale and cider from England, Scotland, Wales and, of course, New England and the United States. New casks are tapped every day, so there’s always something fresh to enjoy. There are multiple sessions throughout the three days, and tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.

November 20: Crystal City Brews Festival

Now in its sixth year, Crystal City Brews Festival in East Corning, New York, celebrates local craft brewers along with regional and national craft beers and ciders. The event lasts three hours and features more than 50 beers from 35 different breweries. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door.

November 21: Untapped San Antonio

If you aren’t familiar with the Untapped Music and Beer festival then now is the time to get acquainted. Untapped hosts festivals all over Texas, but it’s setting up shop in San Antonio for the first time on November 21. Untapped San Antonio will offer more than 200 unique craft beers from more than 50 breweries, as well as an awesome music lineup. Tickets range from $33 to $65, depending on which package you purchase.

November 21: San Francisco Craft Beer Festival

The San Francisco Craft Beer Festival offers a good balance of beer, cider and mead available for tasting. Nearly 75 breweries from across the country are expected to be on hand to showcase two of their finest offerings with an emphasis on limited and seasonal selections. If you’re looking to try that hard-to-find brew, this festival is a good place to do it. Tickets are $60 for VIP and $45 for general admission.

December 5: Valley Forge Beer Festival

Selected by VisitPhilly.com as one of the “Top Beer Festivals Coming to Philly in 2015,” this event has something for hard cider and beer lovers alike. The event coordinators are hoping to have more than 150 beers and ciders for sampling. A portion of the proceeds goes to support the local Committee to Benefit the Children (CBC) at St. Christopher’s Hospital. Tickets are $40 in advance and $60 at the door.
