Celebrating 41 plates in Sugar Land

Written by: Andy Cope

How many beers do you think you’ve downed with your buddies? 1,000? 5,000? What about 8,000? Pictured is one group of fantastic, overachieving Beerknurds. Between the four of them, they hold 41 plates. 41! That’s over 8,000 beers—over 8,200 beers to be a bit more specific. You could say that Wynn Johnson (10 plates), J.R. Robinson (4 plates), Ed Hinson (19 plates), and Mike Norris (8 plates) have done some seriously good work.

Flying Saucer Sugar Land held the customary plate party to celebrate their achievement. And as if drinking well over 500 gallons of beer wasn’t enough of a reason to celebrate, the party also honored Ed Hinson’s son’s advancement to Chief Petty Officer in the Navy—a huge accomplishment. You are looking at one proud father. A huge “thank you” from us for his service.

Join us in lifting a glass to this group of beer lovers! We’re ready to celebrate 40+ more plates. Thank you for your support of craft beer and Flying Saucer.
