WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE BEER?
IPAs are American as Apple Pie now. I am a Haze boi. Love the fluffiness and sparkling citrus mouth bombs it brings. Classic Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is always in my fridge too. It’s the most balanced beer ever. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is like The Beatles White Album. Hazy IPAs are like Trap Music.
WHEN DID YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH BEER?
I had a job in college where everything on the draft wall was $2 and I fell in love with Sierra Nevada Pale ale.
WHERE CAN WE FIND YOU WHEN YOU’RE NOT AT THE SAUCER?
T-ball games with my kid, a spin class my wife makes me go to, or playing darts at a bar somewhere.
WHAT’S THE BEST THING ABOUT HOUSTON, TX?
The food. Houston is the epicenter for ethnic foods because of the proteins coming from the gulf and the amount of Houstonians that come from all over the world to settle here.
FAVORITE SAUCER MOMENT
Getting the doors open after we had to close for Hurricane Harvey. People were pumped to be back in their favorite pub after being cooped up for so long. We got the chance to serve beer to heroes and survivors. It was one of the most rewarding moments.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT FLYING SAUCER?
One, that the best breweries took their best beers on tap and put them in one place.
Two, the regulars that keep supporting us year after year and teaching the staff a life long love for beer.
IF YOU COULD INVITE ONE PERSON IN THE HISTORY OF EVER TO YOUR BAR?
Dirk Nowitzki. So I can do a beer bong with him.
