The Force Awakens Flying Saucer Houston Sugar Land

The Force Awakens at Flying Saucer

The Force is strong in Houston and Sugar Land in preparation for the release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” The highly-anticipated movie hits theaters nationwide on December 18, and to welcome its arrival, Flying Saucer Houston and Sugar Land have some awesome events planned.

First off, Beerknurds can whet their appetites for the epic franchise and craft beer at Flying Saucer Houston with a special viewing of the notorious and elusive “Star Wars Holiday Special” on the big screen. They’ll also enjoy Saint Arnold’s Bishop’s Barrel No. 8 (“BB-8”), a special tapping of Dubbelganger, a well-balanced light side versus dark side beer pairing, and a space-themed glass night featuring Saint Arnold Endeavour glassware. The evening starts at 6PM, so kick whatever jalopy you’re driving into lightspeed and claim your seat.

Then, Friday, December 18—in a suburb not so far, far away—Flying Saucer Sugar Land will be tapping a special keg of No Label Brewery’s Hop Solo with Galaxy Hops and a keg of Hop Solo with Orbit Hops, featuring special glassware. No Label has been producing a series of beers that are each brewed with the same malt, but each different iteration features a different hop varietal—and only that one varietal. Galaxy hops, an Australian hop varietal, features peach, citrus and passionfruit notes, while Orbit hops from New Zealand have that smooth, tropical, bitter taste we love. They’re both as delicious as Princess Leia’s prisoner bikini. Everything kicks off at 6PM.

We hope to see you out and celebrating the release of The Force Awakens. Costumes are encouraged—just remember to use the Force responsibly.
