Founders in Kansas City

For incredible rare or special brews like Founders CBS, true Beerknurds come out of the woodworks to see all the special beers that are usually tapped alongside it. The Kansas City Flying Saucer decided to pay respect to the all around greatness of the Founders Brewing Co. by inviting them to showcase a variety of their beers. While best known for their Dirty Bastard Scotch Ale, All Day IPA and their delicious Breakfast Stouts, Founders has a full line of offerings that every craft beer lover should try.

Founders reps and brewers were in attendance and brought a wide array of one-off brews, specialties, core brands and  seasonals.

Beerknurds and Founders Fans from all over Kansas City enjoyed IPA’s, sours, stouts and other fantastic beers. Kellen Duryea, Kansas City Flying Saucer GM, was more than glad to give the Michigan brewery the spotlight. “The idea was that people always hear about how great certain beers from a brewery are, but the brewers are thinking ‘wait, we make more than just those beers.’ We figured we could get people to try some of those great beers that we often carry or can be found at their local liquor store.”
