San Antonio Flying Saucer Beerkurds recently had the exclusive opportunity to rub palms (that’s an expression right?) with Adam Avery, founder of Avery Brewing Company, craft beer pioneer since 1993, and all-around awesome human.

From traditionally brewed ales to barrel-aged stouts to sours, Avery’s portfolio is full of world-class offerings that define the spirit of craft beer. Transcendent beers like MAHARAJA, HOG HEAVEN, and THE REVEREND have inspired so many of the current bad asses of beer that we love today and, as such, have earned designations on Flying Saucer’s Transcendent Beer List. While LILIKO’I KEPOLO, LUNCTIS VERIBUS, and EXPLETUS have earned that transcendent designation while pushing the boundaries of what beer can taste like. Just think about how important Adam is to the industry!

Adam has spearheaded his brewery through all of this to be one of the best in the world, and to top it all off —he’s one of the most genuine, hilarious, interesting, and party-ready guys!
